I love this app! Life changing! I finally have one spot to save all my pictures from old computers, old phones, everything. Its wonderful! Love being able to find all my pictures in one place all in chronological order.

I like that it scans and auto uploads all the photos on my phone.

THIS APP IS AMAZING!!!!!! Itll keep your photos safe!!! I recently lost photos from the past two years because my phone got disabled but when I checked on this app they were all still here!!!!! Thank god for this app honestly get it& use it!!!!

One of my biggest fears with taking/storing pictures on my phone is that I will lose them at some point. Whether that is through a software update or just losing my device all together. Amazon photo is a great perk of our prime membership that allows me to upload my pictures as I take them!

Great for backup and sharing large videos

I love using this app more than the iCloud due to the unlimited space it possesses.☺️ And you pay for it once a year and you cant beat that!!!

There are many cheaper, free alternatives out there on the market, especially from many Asian competitors based in China. However, no other company offers faster upload and download service like Amazon. Keep up the good work!

Having prime and getting access to this is the best thing everrrr... So easy to backup everything and keep them in one place, I would like the features of Google photos on here as well

I truly enjoy this app. Helps with storage, and freeing up space on my Pad/Phone. But, its slow with scanning, and out of sequence photos.

Amazon Prime now includes unlimited photo storage at full resolution, vs the capped resolution offered by Shoebox with its free service. However Amazon discards the original file names of photos you upload. (Shoebox does too -see below.) Amazon substitutes a name based on the date in the photos metadata, which is better than what Shoebox does, but still unacceptable for a backup solution. In addition to changing the file name making file comparison difficult, some photos in my photo library have lost their original date, which can happen when a photo is moved around or emailed. So basing the file name on the file date may be no help at all in sorting out a file recovery. Any normal backup program or system saves an exact copy of a given file. One of the most important parts of this is backing up using the original file name. This allows comparing backed up files to the originals, and enables recovery of any individual file. (Such as if you have one or a group of photos that get corrupted, or the original source drive is damaged, lost or stolen.) And neither Shoebox nor Amazon Prime allow you to back up any organization you have done with your photos. For some people their photo organization represents hundreds of hours of work. A proper backup would preserve this work. By comparison, photos uploaded to Shoebox lose their file name with no reference to anything recognizable as a replacement. If you download a photo you have saved on Shoebox it comes back when downloaded from Shoebox as "image.jpg". Multiple files recovered via Shoebox come in as "image2.jpg", "image3.jpg", etc. This is completely unacceptable for a backup system. The point of a backup of any computer file is to be able to recover a file if you lose the original. Shoebox advertises itself in part as a backup system. (It also works as a file viewer and maybe sharing system.) Shoebox makes it extremely difficult to compare what it has saved, or files recovered via Shoebox, to any references to the original files. This is completely unacceptable for a backup solution. If you are looking at Shoebox as a way to back up you photos, you should look elsewhere. Most people have thousands, if not tens of thousands of digital photos. We need cloud backup solutions that would help us sort out a recovery. Nether Shoebox nor Amazon Prime photo storage are adequate. However, both are better than no backup, so they get two stars instead of one.
